Yang saya ingat dulu, ketika mendaftar, eIndonesia mendominasi dunia, baik dari hal populasi, ekonomi, militer maupun wilayah, namun beberapa waktu yang lalu saya melihat ternyata sekarang sudah semakin menurun peringkatnya, karena itu saya kemudian menjadi tertarik untuk menekuni game ini agar bisa kembali membawa eIndonesia menuju dominasi dunianya.

Hmm…. Ini tulisan dah pernah dipublish di kaskus, sekarang mo dipublish di sini juga ah, biar ga sepi2 amat nih blog….

Mungkin sudah banyak di antara kaskuser yang tahu, bahwa Perusahaan Mobil Sport Lamborghini pernah dimiliki oleh dua orang Indonesia, yaitu Setiawan Djodi dan Tommy Suharto. Tapi di sini TS mau menceritakan bagaimana salah satu perusahaan pembuat supercar paling bergengsi ini bisa sampe dimiliki dan akhirnya dilepas oleh orang Indonesia.

Kepemilikan Lamborghini oleh Indonesia di awali oleh merosotnya penjualan Lamborghini Diablo di tahun 1992. Harganya yang mencapai US$ 239.000 ternyata tidak cukup terjangkau oleh konsumen supercar di Amerika Serikat. Chrysler, yang saat itu masih menjadi Parent Company Lamborghini, mulai memikirkan untuk menjual investasinya di Lamborghini. Akhirnya, di tahun 1994, Chrysler menjual seluruh sahamnya di Lamborghini ke sebuah perusahaan bernama MegaTech. MegaTech merupakan perusahaan berbasis di Bermuda, namun dimiliki secara penuh oleh konglomerat Indonesia SEDTCO Pty, yang dimiliki oleh Setiawan Djody dan Tommy Suharto. Megatech membeli Lamborghini dari Chrysler seharga US$ 40 Juta. Transaksi ini meliputi hak merek, pabrik pembuatan dan perakitan mobil, pabrik mesin balap Modena, dan Lamborghini USA (sebagai ATPM di AS). Setiawan Djody lalu merombak manajemen Lamborghini, dan dari hasil perombakan itu, Lamborghini mulai mengeluarkan lebih banyak varian supercar. Akhirnya usaha Djody mulai menampakkan hasilnya, penjualan Lamborghini di tahun 1995 menunjukan peningkatan yang cukup signifikan. Di tahun itu juga, MegaTech menjual 40 persen sahamnya ke perusahaan Malaysia MyCom Bhd.

Meskipun mengalami peningkatan penjualan yang tinggi, namun Lamborghini masih mengalami kerugian usaha. Lalu, di bulan November 1996, Lamborghini kembali melakukan perombakan manajemen. Di bawah manajemen yang baru ini, Lamborghini melakukan efisiensi, meningkatkan agresivitas produksi dan promosi. Akhirnya, di tahun 1997, Lamborghini mulai mendapatkan laba usahanya serta kembali menempatkan diri di jajaran atas pembuat supercar.

Namun, ketika krisis keuangan menimpa Asia di tahun 1997, Lamborghini akhirnya lepas dari tangan Indonesia ke Volkswagen AG. Volkswagen AG, mengambil alih Lamborghini melalui Audi seharga US$ 110 Juta.

Meskipun kepemilikan pengusaha Indonesia atas Lamborghini tidak lebih dari tiga tahun, namun tetap dapat menoreh sejarah dalam dunia otomotif, terutama di sektor Supercar, karena telah menyelamatkan Lamborghini dari kebangkrutan dan mengembalikan nama Lamborghini ke jajaran atas pembuat Supercar.

I think it’s pretty interesting that even Obama lived in Jakarta in the last 60s to the early 70s, he still remember about the complicated Jakarta, where Menteng is the rich section, and Menteng Dalam (where Obama lived) or Menteng Dalem (like Obama and most Indonesians prefer to say) is the urban poor area.

Of course it all started with last year McLaren-Ferrari spy scandal where FIA act a double standard with the Renault-McLaren spy scandal, which Mclaren excluded in the championship cause they caught on possesing and reading Ferrari’s material without any proof that they use and applicate those data (cause FIA don’t want to inspect McLaren current car, which McLaren itself ask). While Renault were not punished cause they did not find the data is useful for they car, and some of the data they cannot be red. And ofcourse, after FIA inspect their current car.

And after relieves from the sickness of FIA, Valencia GP proof that F1 really favour on ferrari. At the incident that involving Massa and Sutil, all the commentator soon comment that Massa should be punished by the mistaken of the lollipop man has made. It was clearly that Massa should be punished  by drive through penalty, because a couple years ago, such incident outcome with a drive through penalty to the driver in Massa’s position . And, after bizarrely postponed it decision on that incident, the stewards finally only punished him with the fine.

And now, after a thrilling final stage of Belgian GP, the stewards again make a terribly controversy decision, by giving a 25 seconds penalty (which is a substitute of drive through penalty) to race winner Lewis Hamilton. Which is bizarre, cause a drive through penalty couldn’t be given in 3 laps to go. And that “racing incident”  had been cleared up by Hamilton give the way to raikkonen. And I wonder if Hamilton did not cut the chicane, he may crash with raikkonen, and again, punished with drive through penalty. Even the commentator said that it’s been cleared by hamilton let raikkonen pass through the finnish line of that lap. I can say for sure that this decision will only made every driver to think thousand of times to overtake another car, especially with the current system point.

Another old case that still kept on my mind is, Michelin controversy after the Hungarian GP in 2003. After dominating a couple of races, especially on the wheel of Williams, FIA changed the rule of checking the size of tyre, to the end of the race. Of course it given the disadvantage to Michelin which character is to expand after the race. And finally, this midle season rule change had made a huge disadvantage to Williams, which is on fire after its great performance at that time, and losing the driver and constructor championship to Ferrari.

And with the current system point,current hamilton-win-in-belgian-gp-stripped-away case, I can say for sure that f1 race day will be a boring-convoi-car-driven-by-a-robot race.

Plans have been revealed for the street circuit which will be the venue for A1GP World Cup of Motorsport’s return to Indonesia.

Lippo Village, near Jakarta will host the series’ only street race of the season, A1GP Jakarta, Indonesia, on 6 – 8 February 2009.

This will be the first time Indonesia has seen a street race of this scale. It will be held in the downtown area of Lippo Village, which was formerly known as Lippo Karawaci.

“This is a very exciting occasion not just for Lippo Village, but also Indonesia as a whole,” said Gordon Benton, senior executive from PT. Lippo Karawaci Tbk.

“Lippo wanted to bring a top international event to Indonesia like A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, and we are working very closely with the Ikatan Motor Indonesia (IMI), the Ministry of Youth & Sport and rights holder Carbon Worldwide to make this event the pinnacle stop on the A1GP calendar for years to come.”

David Clare, CEO Asia Pacific, A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, is delighted that the series is returning to Indonesia.

“Season Four will mark our third visit to the country which always draws a strong and passionate fan base in support of A1 Team Indonesia,” he said. “This race will be of great interest to the world’s motorsport fraternity, as Indonesia will be part of a select group of nations capable of hosting a street circuit. Lippo Village will now join venues like Surfers Paradise, Monaco, Melbourne, Long Beach and also Singapore,”

Lippo Village will be modifying parts of the town near the famous Pelita Harapan University (UPH). The track is being designed by Tilke Gmbh, the company responsible for other circuits where A1GP has raced, such as Shanghai and Sepang.

“The track designers have conducted the initial site visit, and are currently completing the final design,” added Benton. “We intend for the track to be of the highest quality and through good planning, offer minimal disruption to our residents and commercial enterprises.”

Lippo Village is the flagship city for planned communities created by property developer Lippo Group.  Founded in 1993 thirty-kilometres to the west of Jakarta, Lippo Village has become an established lifestyle township with a population of 50,000.

Its integrated education, health and business facilities make it a truly self-sustainable, environmental-friendly city.

Kind of great news for me, cause I’ve never been watching car race in street circuit before. I’m just curious about the layout of the circuit, hopefully it will be much more interesting than the Valencia street circuit, which has got a beautiful landscape, but not giving many action for open wheeler race.
